Western New York National Cemetery

Western New York National Cemetery, located in Corfu/Pembroke, NY, is the closest National Veterans cemetery serving our community. This beautiful and well-maintained cemetery provides a dignified and honorable resting place for eligible veterans and their families.

Many families are unaware of the benefits available through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Eligible veterans may receive burial in a national cemetery at no cost, including the gravesite, opening and closing of the grave, a government-issued headstone or marker, and perpetual care. Military honors may also be coordinated as part of the service.

In addition, an eligible spouse and, in certain circumstances, dependent children may also be entitled to burial benefits in a national cemetery. For families choosing cremation, options such as columbarium niches or in-ground burial are available.
