HACKER - Ronald "Ron" George At age 89, of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, of natural causes related to Alzheimer's Disease. He passed comfortably in his own bed after being taken care of by loved ones. Ron was born on June 28, 1934 to Beatrice Seybert and George H. Hacker and also raised by his loving step-father Ralph Truesdell. He was one of three children and was predeceased by his siblings, Gary Hacker and Carol Hacker. He served in the U.S. Army as well as the U.S. Air Force and is a veteran of the Korean War. After his military service, he became an Operating Engineer and labor organizer in Local #463 until his retirement in 1998. He was never afraid to get his hands dirty and showed unwavering support for the integrity and value of hard work. Ron had a love of nature and was a member of the Buffalo Ornithological Society. He would travel for miles looking for new and interesting birds and was never without a copy of A Field Guide to the Birds. He was a supporter of the Niagara County Democratic Committee. Most of all Ron cared for his family. He was the kind of grandpa that learned how to use Facebook to keep in touch with his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Suanne (Schuster) Hacker; and his children, William Ronald Hacker and Ann Marie Hacker; his 4 grandchildren, Jennifer L. Hacker-Glogoza (Rocco Glogoza), Kimmarie A. Hacker, Robynn L. Murray and Bradley J. Mills; as well as his 4 great-grandchildren, Aryanna M. DeBellaistre, Andre I. DeBellaistre, Amina S. Murray and Rocco J. Glogoza Jr. He is predeceased by his siblings, Carol and Gary as well as his beloved son, David A. Hacker. He will be missed. No prior visitation.
