CORY - Mary Elizabeth (nee Sword) Of Cheektowaga, NY, October 16, 1935 - July 25, 2024. Mary Cory - was called to be with the Lord Thursday, July 25, 2024, at about 10:00 pm while being under hospice care. Mary was the daughter of Nina May Sword. Mary was a friendly person who loved meeting people and was loved by everyone that knew her. She loved country music, especially Carl Smith and Loretta Lynn. Mary's most loved past-time was dancing, especially waltzes. She could always be found donating her time at country music shows, round and square dances, and other charitable events. She enjoyed crafting with plastic canvas and crochet. She lived in Akron, New York before moving to Olean, New York. She loved the Southern Tier area and chose to stay. She is survived by her daughter - Terry, her son - Zeke, 4 grandchildren, Ron, Adam, Dustin, Kelly, and 9 great grandchildren. Her life centered around caring for her family. We will miss her happy smile. She will be sadly missed .... We love you mom. No prior visitation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
