Obituary

COX - Joyce M. (nee Gloss) Monday, May 9th, 1949 - Friday, February 20th, 2026 Of Lancaster, NY. Dearest Partner (Wife), Mother, Sister, Aunt, Nana and Friend, who passed away so peacefully, holding our hands and surrounded by love. She will be deeply missed by her partner (Husband), for over 50 years, Stephen L. Menard; her Loving Daughters Challis A. (Arthur G. Kelly) Cox, Tamsen E. Johnson, Skyelor A. Menard, and the late Chaityn A. Menard; her Baby Brother, Donald W. (Margaret E.) Gloss; her Beloved Nephew, Andrew W. Gloss; her Darling Grandchildren Arden A. (Cody L.) Shipley, Makenna E. Johnson and Kadin L. Wright; her Sweet Great Grandchildren, Bentley, Kamryn, Emberlynn and Kyleigh Shipley; her Dearest Friend, Ann M. Heinrich and many others she touched while being a Registered Nurse. Also, survived by relatives and friends. Predeceased by her loving parents Frederick L. Gloss and Elena M. Gloss (Nieman) and her dearest brothers, David F. Gloss and Daniel W. Gloss. She loved her family and friends, the outdoors, driving aimlessly, camping at Allegany State Park and walking her dogs (Thunder and Bayliss) in Como Park. She was a true animal lover, having had many cats and dogs throughout her life. Luna, her kitty, sleeping in her chair and Riley, her current pup, sleeping in her bed, is a true reflection of how much she will be missed. One of her favorite artists was the late Eddie Money, so, in her honor, we quote "We're Gonna Find Peace in Our Time...Gonna Make Love the Bottom Line...Cause You and I Know What Love is Worth...". All close family and friends are welcome to join us at Bruno's, 5259 Broadway in Lancaster Saturday, May 9th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm for a celebration of life honoring Joyce Cox. Together, as we celebrate her life and heavenly birthday, we'll remember the joy Joyce brought into our lives through stories, laugher, and friendship. This will be an alcohol-free gathering, with a variety of refreshing beverages, a delicious brunch and sweet treats to enjoy. Your presence and memories are the greatest tribute we can give. Arrangements by: ERIE COUNTY CREMATION SERVICE, 873 Abbott Rd., South Buffalo, NY, 824-6435. Please share your condolences at: www.eriecountycremationservice.com
