SHIESLEY - John A., Sr. Of Lancaster, NY, January 2, 2023, at age 80. Died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family after a long illness. Beloved husband of over 40 years to Rosann G. (nee Metz) Shiesley; devoted father of John (Nicole) Shiesley, Jr., late Colleen (Dave) Parks, Kelly (George) Raiford, Sean (Tracy) McCarthy, Kevin (Ann Marie) McCarthy, Gerald (Deanna) McCarthy, and Erin (Peter) Haines; cherished by 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; beloved brother of the late Vern (Mary) Shiesley, Robert Shiesley, Arlene (Irv) Jaenecke, Jean (Dan) Emery, Betty (Richard) Graham, Gerald Shiesley, Nancy (Don) Holler, Ron Shiesley and Lee (Sharon) Shiesley; survived by Lynn (Rochelle) Shiesley, Lester (Karen) Shiesley, James (Barbara) Shiesley; also survived by many nieces and nephews. A friend of Bill W. for 52 years. Known to many as "John Ditto" and "The Spoke". No prior visitation.
