Our beloved dad, Charles W. Monpere went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2024 after a series of illnesses. He fought the good fight until the very end and is now finally at peace with no pain, no tears, no sadness, and no suffering. A celebration of life service will be held on April 20th in Pennsylvania, where he was born, with his family and friends. Later this year, we will have the honor of setting him free in a private ash scattering ceremony in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and celebration of life event in Buffalo, NY.

We have so many great memories that will be cherished forever including numerous trips to Mexico when we were kids. We had so many adventures driving to Mexico and being exposed to a foreign culture. Puerto Vallarta, Mexico was his favorite place in the world and planned to retire there. He also loved to cook and travel to other parts of the world. Being here in Buffalo again for the last 3-4 years, he spent wonderful times with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren that they will always cherish.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Leslie J. Monpere and his son, Scott C. Monpere. He is survived by his daughters, Denise (Monpere) Kiblin and Lisa Monpere-Cruz (Pablo); sister, Jacqueline Stewart; nieces, Jacqueline "Cookie" Monpere II (Joel), Diane "Dolly" Drexler, and Donna Murphy; grandchildren, Kristi (Shelton) Mieszczak (Nick), Constance (Shelton) Collins, and Amanda Tober; and great-grandchildren, Ayden, Lilyanna, Julianna, Hunter, Angelo, and Ethan.

Dad, we love you so much and will miss you forever. You are now one of our angels who keeps watch over us! Rest in Peace!!
