RANDLE - Benjamin L. III "Trey" Of Hamburg, NY. Trey is survived by his parents, Benjamin L. Randle Jr. and Mary E. DeStefano; his spouse, Suzanne; his beloved son, Simon Blu Randle; brothers, Jarrod (Jennie) Randle, Josh (Kelsey) Randle, Kent (Molly Randle) and Tyler (Zoann) Randle; sisters, Adrianna (Scott) Benson and Jennifer Ertel. He leaves behind fourteen nieces and nephews who will miss the memory of his joyful soul and ever willingness to play. He is loved and cherished by a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who honor the love and lessons he shared and help us all to carry the memory of a life well lived. Benjamin L. Randle III, widely known to many of us as Trey, passed on from this earthly world suddenly on January 13, 2024. Born on May 11, 1973, Trey grew to be a loving son, brother, husband, father, friend, mentor, advocate, teacher, coach, Wilderness EMT/Guide and Life Coach. Trey was a man of great faith who lived it daily in service to others. Trey felt most at home and at peace in the outdoors, climbing, hiking or exploring and always found a way to intertwine his faith, curiosity, spirit of adventure and teaching heart to his love of nature. Trey poured his dedication, faith and love into life and work with whole mind, body and soul. Always pulling in family and friends to work alongside him, Trey spent a lifetime building friendships, networks and connections that will carry on in each of the programs/curriculum he created and the lives he touched. The oldest son of 7 children, Trey was a natural caretaker of others and so was continually drawn to a life of service. Beginning his career in education and mentorship programs, Trey later joined with his father, a Vietnam vet, in growing a strong and healthy Veterans program at D'Youville College. He continued this work throughout his lifetime. Even though he never served in the military himself, Trey was tireless in his service to returning combat veterans. There are many powerful stories from the veterans he served...stories of Trey's relentless pursuit of any and all possible supports, about round-the-clock encouragement and counsel, about the joy he helped bring back to their lives through his compassion, humor and love. Stories about how he helped save them from tragedy - how he saved them from seeking the same end to incredible pain that he too found within himself. Trey was a friend of God and a lifelong Catholic who used daily prayer, mass and Perpetual Adoration at St. Bernadette's and Our Lady of Victory as a source of strength. His faith was reflected in his natural ability to provide kindness and companionship to those around him. Trey brought his faith and joy to every gathering he attended and met each person right where they were with openness and love. Trey was a man of peace, a man of integrity, a man of character, a man of fidelity, a man of service, and a man of compassion. "Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?" (Clarence, "It's a Wonderful Life" 1946). No prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Victory Basilica, 767 Ridge Rd., Lackawanna, NY, Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Immediately following, a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 11:30 AM until 5:00 PM at the Tacoma Performing Arts Center, 351 Tacoma Ave., Buffalo, NY.
