ROMMEL - Audrey M. (nee Stengel) Of Swormville, NY. Peacefully passed on February 22, 2024, 23 days shy of her 104th birthday. Loving wife, for 73 years before Thomas C. Sr.'s passing in 2012. Loving mother of Ellen (late Mike) Van Patten, Tom (Joanne) Rommel, Tim (Rand Hakim) Rommel and Mary (Al) Schultz; and the late Dianne (John) Veneski and Judy (Jack) Clare; Grandma to 18 and GGMA to 28. Sister-in-law to Ann (late Ed) Stengel. No prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's R.C. Church (Chapel), 6919 Transit Road (corner of Stahley Rd., Swormville), Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 10:30 AM. Born and raised in Baltimore, second oldest of seven, she came to Buffalo as a newlywed. She and her Tommy raised their family at 8020, a homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, camping, canning, chocolate, and the Buffalo Sabres. Snowbirds, Tom and Audrey wintered in Florida leaving before the first snow fall only to return the day before Mother's Day. A life member of Swormville Ladies Auxiliary and St. Ann's Alter Society at St. Mary's, for over six decades. Audrey was strong, fierce and loving, known for always proclaiming "LOVE YOU MORE!"
