JANSEN - Allene Jeanette (nee Holt) Of Grand Island, NY, age 94, entered into rest on November 21, 2021, after a long and joyful life. She was born in North Tonawanda, NY, and is the daughter of the late William John Holt and Ester Matilda Roth Holt. She is the sister of the late John "Jack" Edward Holt. Allene graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1944 where she was a drum majorette and an active member of the Sigma Theta Sorority. Allene was the beloved wife of the late Norman M. Jansen. She was a loving mother to five children, Michael (Cheryl) Walker, Jeffery (Shelia) Walker, Jay Jansen, Kit (Melissa) Jansen and Kim (Bob) Willer. She was the cherished grandmother to Ian, Kayla, Sarina, Kara, Joshua, Danielle, Corey, Caiti, Kyra, Brooke and Cameron. She was a great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren and the future great-grandmother to Wrenly. She will be fondly remembered by the members of the Grand Island Senior Center and the employees at Tops Friendly Market where she loved to shop. She will be deeply missed by her family and remembered as a wonderful mother, wife and friend to all. Private services to be held by the family at a future date in Florida.
