Alana Louise Vanderbusch (nee Fleckenstein), 69, of East Otto, NY, passed away on August 17, 2024. Born on November 8, 1954, in Springville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Rosina Fleckenstein.

Alana graduated from Cattaraugus Central School and dedicated 44 years of her career to HBD Winsmith in Springville, NY. Her commitment to her work was paralleled by her devotion to her faith; actively participating in the East Otto Community Church in Christ.

She found joy in the simplicity of life, cherishing moments spent camping at Kinzua Reservoir, fishing, gardening, reading, and dancing. Alana's love for her family and friends was evident in the time she spent with them; creating memories that will forever be cherished.

Alana is survived by her loving husband, Thomas G. Vanderbusch; her children, Thomas A. Vanderbusch (Bethe Curry) and Tara M. Stoddard (Kenneth Stoddard); grandchildren, Thomas A. Vanderbusch, Jr., Clayton Frentz, Donald Bennett, and Caleb Frentz; and siblings, Sharon Gruber, James Fleckenstein (Cena), Paulet Hill (Fred), and Lisa Hansen (Mark), along with many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held by East Otto Community Church in Christ at the East Otto Fire Hall (8990 Reed Hill Road, East Otto, NY 14729) on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will immediately follow. The family welcomes donations in Alana's memory to the East Otto Community Church in Christ, East Otto Fire Department, Alzheimer's Association, or American Heart Association, honoring her commitment to community and faith.
